International Astronomical Search Collaboration Discovery Hall of Fame |

|
Welcome to the IASC Discovery Hall of Fame!! The students, teachers, and schools listed below have made an asteroid discovery that was numbered and cataloged by the Minor Planet Center (Harvard). This process takes 3-5 years to complete, at which point the asteroid can be officially named. The asteroids below have either been named by the students and teachers or are in the process of being named.
Names are proposed to the International Astronomical Union (IAU). It is this international assembly that officially designates the names of asteroids and other minor planets in the Solar System.
Click on the number of the asteroid discovery. This will link you to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Pasadena) and an orbit showing the current location of that discovery.
